Thanissara is an internationally renowned Buddhist teacher and author of a number of books including her latest, Time To Stand Up, An Engaged Buddhist Manifesto for Our Earth. With her husband Kittisaro, Thanissara co-founded Dharmagiri Sacred Mountain Retreat in South Africa and helped initiate and support a number of HIV/Aids response projects in KwaZulu Natal. She is also a founding member of Chithurst Monastery and Amaravati Buddhist Monastery in the UK, and has facilitated meditation retreats internationally for 30 years. Thanissara has an MA in Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy Practice, and is currently resident in Sebastopol, CA. She is on the Teacher Council at Spirit Rock Meditation Center CA, is Core Teacher at Insight Meditation Society, MA, and co-founding teacher of Sacred Mountain Sangha International.
Rick Kurshner is a long time Beverly Hills media and entertainment attorney. His past and current clients include performers, writers, directors, producers and entertainment companies. His in-house experience includes senior business affairs positions with NBC, Paramount, Warner Bros, among others, including being responsible for legal vetting of all content included in the TV series “EXTRA”.
Rosalind Sedacca, CDC is a marketing consultant and a divorce & co-parenting coach in West Palm Beach, Florida.. She is the founder of the Child-Centered Divorce Network, which provides advice, resources and coaching for parents who are divorcing or transitioning after divorce. She is also the author of How Do I Tell the Kids about the Divorce? and hosts the Divorce, Dating & Empowered Living Radio Show & Podcast. Rosalind is a politically active grandmother who wants to protect her grandchildren from the dangers of a sociologically and environmentally damaged world.
Meredith Titus Smith, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and life coach, and president of Beacon Psychological Services in Birmingham, Alabama. Meredith brings creativity to all her work as reflected in her most recent project, a Facebook page called “Meredith Titus: Storyteller/Writer.” As the grandmother of six, ranging in age from 8-19, she is highly committed to ensuring that they live in a country where everyone can thrive.
Larry Sarezky is an attorney, writer and independent filmmaker, and is the founder of Grandparents for Democracy. A Huffington Post contributor, Larry is the author of the Amazon #1 best seller, Divorce, Simply Stated and the writer/director of the Telly Award winning film, Talk to Strangers, both of which have drawn nationwide acclaim. He is a past Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Family Law Section and of the Fairfield CT Human Services Commission. Larry was also a candidate for the CT State Senate back in 1984; long before he became a grandfather concerned about the world we will leave our grandkids.
